Then there are the unavoidable culprits like sun, gravity and other problem that make our skin far less from perfect. For those who wish to manage the problems with noninvasive, mild procedure microdermabrasion is the perfect choice. For those who wish to know more about it, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions below:

What You Need To Know?

1.How does it work?

It works just like the way brushing our teeth does. Just like brushing removed plaque from our teeth, microdermabrasion removes few top layers of skin gently with the help of fun abrasive brush or dermaabrader.

2.What is it used for?

It is used for removal of marks, sun damage, acne scars, wrinkles, old acne scars, reducing large visible pores, correcting uneven skin tone

3.Is it painful?

It is generally painless. Some patient feels stings or itchiness around eyes at the beginning of the procedure but it goes away slowly and within 24 hours there will be no discomfort at all.

4.How long does it take?

At first a consultation session will be required in which our doctor will asses your skin type and explain about the procedure.

After that ,the actual procedure will take 20 to 30 minutes for your face  and additional 1 hour may be required if it's done for your neck and or other areas.

5.What results will I see?

It depends on the type of skin and amount of damage or has endured. Some will notice changes like clear and healthy looking skin on first day but since it is not a one time procedure major results will be seen after 4-4 sessions. Older the scar, damage longer it will take to see major results .

6.What are the risks? Will the abrasive material damage unaffected part of my skin?

It is virtually risk free. It is a non-invasive and mild method. Infection is the most common risk but since we use sterilized equipment and disposable pieces the risk of infection is also practically non-existent.

7.How long will the results last and will my skin be affected if I stop the treatment?

You will need any maintenance session every 3-6 months.

What you need to under is, since it removes top layer of your skin the new layer of skin it brings out is vulnerable to sun damage. As long as you are careful about sun protection i.e. you wear sunscreen, avoid sunlight for a long period of time you will be fine.
